A Typical Day

Our doors open at 8:40 a.m. Our school daybegins at 9 am with Morning Gathering, which consists of prayer, a hymn, and the Pledge of Allegiance. From there, students have lessons in Bible, Language Arts, Math, History/Geography, Science, and Physical Education/Health. Students enjoy a healthy mid-morning snack.

At lunch, everyone eats together as a school family.

We continue our lessons with Spanish, Art, Music, and\or Handicrafts. Students spend 30 minutes outdoors for recess.

Our day concludes with students doing classroom chores to build a sense of community.

Fridays vary by week. Some weeks we will take an educational field trip. Other weeks, we learn more about the various people groups living in the Twin Cities. This is inspired by Acts 17:26, “And He made from one man every nation of mankind to live on all the face of the earth, having determined allotted periods and the boundaries of their dwelling place.”

Friday afternoons are spent learning through STEM activities and reading Shakespeare. We engage in Solomon’s Hour, a time for students to research a topic of their choice with teacher support.

Once a week, we attend a 30-minute chapel service.
